Color for a Cause 5K to Benefit the Arc of Katy

Saturday, April 22, 2017 08:00am - 11:00am

Students from Taylor High School's National Honor Society (NHS) and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) are joining forces once again to host a Color for a Cause 5K fun run in an effort to raise funds to support The Arc of Katy and its programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

The run will be held at James E. Taylor High School, 20700 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, Tx. 77450 on Saturday, April 22nd from 8am - 11am.

Its distinct feature is the tossing of the colored non-toxic corn starch in the air during the run and everyone finishing up with lots of colors on their Color Run shirt.

Last year the event raised $10,000.00 for The Arc of Katy and the funds helped to underwrite a portion of the cost of The Arc's programs for individuals with IDD in the Katy area.

Arc of Katy participants with IDD are free but must be accompanied by a parent/guardian chaperone. Parents/guardians and family members must register and pay to participate. When registering, please also register your Arc Participant with IDD and mark "Arc Participant" on the form for them to attend for free. Everyone gets a t-shirt, so be sure to mark the shirt size for each person registering.

Invite your family and friends to join in the fun! To complete the online registration visit: colorforacause.weebly.com
