Our Mission

mother childThe Arc of Katy is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation (tax-exempt ID 76-0354104) that works to create opportunities for all children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to enable each person to be a participating and respected member of our community to grow in mind, body and spirit. We provide school year day program for adults and a summer camp program for adults and teens. We also offer weekend social activities for teens and adults.

Our Vision

Resources in our vision include, but are not limited to:

  • Expanded Day Activity Programs for children, teens and adults
  • Additional adult activities
  • Respite Care
  • Family Counseling & Support Education

Progress Possible With Your Support

Because of generous donations, we have been able to increase our enrollment, purchase shuttle buses for transportation, pilot a new “Be Strong” physical fitness program and expand the number of days of our program. Our Arc participants have given back to the Katy community by participating in Katy Area Chamber events, planting a community garden, and by serving others less fortunate as volunteers at Katy Christian Ministries food pantry.

Our goal is to find a permanent location for our Day Program. With the support of community members like YOU, “Together We Can!” make a difference in the lives of our Arc participants!
